PMI – POSITIEVE MATERIAAL IDENTIFICATIE

PMI - Positive Material Identification

Sometimes there are doubts about the material quality. Are the materials delivered with the correct specifications, particular from "cheaper" production countries? Which material is really used? Which repair metal (base material and filling material)? Which metallic elements are present in a paint or in a certain plastic (toy)? Is soil pollution present? Or would you like to validate your material certificates (3.1 or 3.2)?

For these situations, MCI has the latest XRF analyzers to quickly test a material (Positive Material Identification) which can be performed both in the laboratory and on site. The equipment works by means of X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, a technique for accurate and reliable (semi-) quantitative element analysis for metal alloys.

The materials that we analyze:
+ Stainless steels, for example, austenitic, ferritic, duplex;
+ Carbon steels, for example creep resistant steels, fine grained steels, steel shafts, wear-resistant (tool) steels,
+ Aluminum Alloys,
Nickel Alloys,
+ Titanium, Zirconium, Cobalt Alloys.
+ Nonferrous metals (copper, silver, gold alloys and other precious metals)
